I’ve learned a lot more about my body since the original post. The oncologist allowed me to go off the medication for two weeks. As a trial to see if the aches subsided. It improved slightly and I chose to remain with the anastrozole rather than change to a similar drug. Since then the pain resolved in my hips, appeared in my wrists, ankles, knees, shoulders, etc. Each time the pain resolved with physio, exercises, turmeric, fish oil tabs, stretches, and anything else I could throw at it. My GP says I have skeletal and joint issues. It’s just me. Recently I had a dodgy knee and couldn’t kneel on it for 6 months. I wasn’t happy because I do a lot of romping around on the floor with my little grandchildren. One day the pain didn’t happen! Party time! The kids got on my back for a horsey ride and we were all singing.
My recommendation would be to live life to as close to normal as possible. Bodies change their mind about how injuries will affect us. Use everything at our disposal to get through the night, to get us out of bed in the morning, and to help us enjoy the day we’ve been blessed with.
