- kamadaMemberFeeling much better after catching up on some sleep thanks @PV123 😊. @Caz1 the Petri dish analogy sure rings a bell as I admire the red sores appearing on my arms and chest 🙄and vainly pump nozoil up my blood clot filled nostrils - its latest annoying little offerings. Reckon I will soon be walking around ringing a bell and shouting ‘unclean unclean’! 😂 Hopefully there will be a trail of dead microscopic BC cells marking my path! 😜
- PV123MemberHi @Cazl
That is so true, every week a different part of the body is seeking attention.Hi @kamada
I hope you are feeling better after resting. - Caz1MemberI feel like the chemo has caused my body to be a science experiment.
I am just a Petri dish! Every week brings an interesting new symptom... ;) - kamadaMember@PV123 Your wise mum was right but right now it doesn’t seem to be happening fast enough! Just feeling a bit sorry for myself atm but will buck up again soon. Thanks for the suggestions. Will give them a try. Off to bed now hopefully to sleep!
- PV123MemberHi @kamada
Sorry to hear that you had to go to hospital. i had reflux as well, the oncologist has prescribed Nexium 20 mg that I take daily. She said to take it throughout paclitaxel treatment. Maybe check with your Onco. I also find having lots of fluids on chemo day reduces some of my symptoms. My wise mum used to say “This too shall pass” - kamadaMemberHi 👋 @PV123. Glad your results were good. What a special talent we have to be able to brighten up the world the way we do! I ended up in hospital on a drip because horrendous reflux prevented me from getting fluid into me. Just got home no reflux atm thank goodness. Have had 48 hours of diarrhoea so far but finally got go ahead to take gastro stop. Can’t wait to get some on board so I can get some sleep after the last two busy nights! Sure hope they can stop this happening for the next 7 treatments or my Christmas Day will be one of the more memorable ones😂.
- PV123MemberThank you @Zoffiel
- ZoffielMemberGood news @PV123
I remember when I brought my newborn son home from hospital being stunned by the variety and volume of shit such a small body could produce. WTAF? How could a 2 week old child poo out what appeared to be, and stank like, the remains of a well rotted wallaby?
Chemo reconnects us with our bodily functions--often taken for granted--in ways which are hardly appreciated. Hang in there. Mxx - PV123MemberHi @kamada
i did have a blue tit for a couple of months after my lumpectomy.I just visited the GP and the stool test does not show any bacteria or blood, great news. She has no answer for the various colours of poo.
