2nd Year check up
Hi all, It has been awhile since I was last here - and that is a good thing, but it is still very awesome that I am still able to come back and talk. Today I am off to the oncologist for my 2year...
Good luck with your tests - I have my 4 year tests tomorrow and as usual I have every conceivable twinge, ache and odd sensation. I get this every year, but no matter how hard I say this is all in my head, the anxiety of going back over it all again gets past my logic and plays on my fears!!
The tingly numb stuff is possibly peripheral neuropathy - chemo can damage the nerves at your extremities (toes and fingers usually but sometimes hands and feet). Definitely worth getting some attention - it usually manifests while you are having treatment, can get much better but may take a very long time to gradually improve. There's been a few posts on this recently, so have a look around this site - massage may help, someone swears by Revitive (which actually is for veins), I found Vitamin B useful. If it's harmless, try it!! Main problems are cuts with knives, not being able to do up buttons, tripping and stubbing toes, but PN can be painful and I certainly got more leg and foot cramps.
Best wishes
