I am so sorry to hear that you are going through this alone - having decided not to tell friends/ family. As this post is now 2 months old its possible that this has changed and you have let a select few know? When I told my 4 sons I told them I was not sure when to tell them. One of the boys, the youngest said " straight away" and the boys have been there for me and their partners ever since! Just to let you know that it might be helpful to let loved ones know what is happening.
Hi. No change. I've still not told anyone. I am not coping well now at all and do not want to see anyone or speak to anyone. I've been waiting for the psych for ages and it's too long now. I gained a huge amount of weight in chemo and my hair is gone. I do not feel ok at alll and don't even know what to do at this stage. I can't find the private group or how to get. Access either. My brain is so slow now from chemo.

You poor girl. I'm here. Keep posting and I will reply. I did something through the cancer council which might help in the interim. A lovely lady who is a cancer coach. YOu are given 3 free sessions with her. She is just an ear to hear what you are experiencing and its peer support - she has had breast cancer herself- so gets it. here are her details: [email protected]
Did you know that the cancer council also offers free counselling which might also work? Ive had a weight gain too and have no hair!! Did you know that the service ENABLEnsw.gov offers a service for a free wig? You must get a quote first and fill in the online forms etc and the service Milk & Honey wigs can give you a quote for a wig: So this could help? here is the email for ENABLE: [email protected] and here is Milk & Honey's email: [email protected]
Chemo is no fun at all. But some of these services could help while waiting for psych services to kick in

Thank you so much. This is so kind. I've been trying to get back here and reply but the site login often doesn't work for me! I will contact the lady you've mentioned. Thank you. I'm not very good at talking about my feelings and am just feeling so overwhelmed & lost right now and also just a lot of negativity and lost hope generally. I'm usually positive and resilient but it's all been just too much and too little help etc.
Even chatting on here is lovely though and I like that it's anonymous!
Thank you so much again. I do feel a real sense of solidarity with other women with breast cancer. It's such a tricky disease and so sad that so many of us have to suffer this!
