Dear Scientist.
I am so sorry that you have to join us here. I imagine it would be even more difficult for you being a researcher in this field.
I find that every day is different for me. Some days I am overwhelmed by the situation we find ourselves in and other days I don't even think about it. I will be thinking of you and all others that are in the same boat as me. It is crap. Enjoy your baby girl, take some leave from work and try and rest up.
