Grief & emotions
Hi all, I'm 14 mths since my diagnosis of de nova metastatic breast cancer. I thought i was doing quite well coping with it all, but the last few weeks have really been a struggle. I am done with ha...
I am So sorry you are doing it tough just now mel51 xx Sending gentle hugs xx Maybe, give our Helpline a bell on 1800 500 258 for a confidential chat .... just having an ear to listen can really help xx. As Tri says, it is grief & grieving for your old life ... BC (before cancer.)
Your diagnosis has been life-changing and sadly the ongoing treatment is taking its toll on you :( Whenever I feel 'down' I try & do some of my favourite things - fishing & ukulele playing! Both have helped me get thru my dark times in the last 4-8 years .... Just be kind to yourself too xx
Face the sun and the shadows fall behind you xx
Have you applied for a 'break' with Otis Foundation yet? Wonderful people around the country have donated their holiday homes to women with BC - to have some quality time away with their family (or friends) to recharge the batteries xx. I did one last year with my brothers & their partners - it was fabulous. I went to Vic (from NSW) as they've opened up the interstate retreats now! You just need your Onc or BC Nurse to sign a form saying you are good for it! Check them out (and the available properties) here:

You are able to request one without stairs, too, if you find them tricky - as I do, with dodgy knees!
Take care, stay well xx
