I have been on capecitibine since November last year. Initially the results were very good with my CA125 quickly dropping from 200 to 97. They have been stable since and I have another PET scan next week, so we will see. I haven't had any problems with hand foot syndrome but I put that down to the fact that I religiously use Oukeya 40% Urea cream. It's available from Amazon for about $14.00 per tube.
My biggest problems are exhaustion, weakness and sleep difficulties. We have adjusted my dosage from 6 tablets per day down to 5 but I am still struggling with these side effects. Next week we will discuss a further reduction to see if we can find a dosage sweet spot.
A friend has made up some kombucha for me to try. She has also given me broccoli sprouts to sprinkle on my salads. I will let you know how I fare with these. She also has metastatic cancer and has found these useful.
