This is interesting, I used to volunteer at the cancer council and know that while the event is sponsored by the cc it is run totally by its originator Sarah Tinney. No marketing department involved. Sarah has not had breast cancer herself , she developed and runs the event in memory of her mum . The event is at Brighton as she uses her own home as the starting point and staging area. I think she would be horrified that she had alienated someone who has breast cancer. A lot of women who participate are not actually bc survivors just supporters so it may not have come up. Can I suggest you make a comment on the Facebook page. I’m sure Sarah would respond
