Just tonight on the news another report about research the Garvan Institute is doing on the dormant cells that can hide in the body until they start to grow metastatic tumors. Apparently those dormant cells are very different in their structure to other cancer cells. They are looking at how to target those dormant cells and stop them from ever switching on. The report also suggested that many treatments in the near future will be far less toxic.
The future looks promising. :)
