what a month!!
I started Herceptin again after getting the all clear from cardiologist and then 2 weeks after my first infusion I a had seizure and was put in hospital. They decided to stop ALL my drugs except Femara they stopped Herceptin as well. They didn't know why I had the seizure as MRI showed nothing. The other worrying thing was I showed having acute renal failure and it was affecting my liver as well which cleared up pretty quickly with no medication. After a week in hospital I came home and then 3 days later I woke up and my vision was haywire, to see anything straight and in focus I had to shut one eye it was so weird and it gave me more headaches.They done another MRI which still showed nothing so I ended up seeing an opthamologist (eye specialist) who said she didn't know why it happened if it was the seizure or no but after a week or 2 it should be back to normal, big help! Now I am waiting to see a neurologist to find out about these headaches I get and why I get them.
I am finally starting back on Herceptin next week after 10 weeks without it and they have slowly started me back on some of the drugs I was taking before seizure and so far so good no signs of having another seizure.
It has been a busy 4 weeks of doctors and hospitals and its not quite over yet I still have treatment then a visit to my oncologist this coming week and in November I see the neurologist.
