I finished with the girls at the oncology unit today. I feel as if I am leaving friends, they've all been so marvellous for 12 months.
Just a pill a day now for the next 4 years and then hopefully . . . nothing. I am wondering if I will feel at a loss in 3 weeks time when I would normally be going in for treatment, who knows.
To all of you just on the road, just starting out - it gets better. You will eventually come to the point where you are in the holding pattern for the rest of your life, but ALIVE. We have so much to be thankful for.
Live every day, it's all you have. The future is NOT a given so don't miss out on something waiting for a better time. That time is NOW.
