Tamoxifen

Hi there, I have taken Tamoxifen for 3 1/2 years and have always taken it before breakfast. I've had minimal side effects really. Some digestive issues and fatigue but feel lucky in the scheme of things. Good luck, I hope you get through with minimal side effects too.

I have been Tamoxifen for the past year the pharmacists advice at the time was to take at night time, recently I went to a different pharmacist and was told to take on the morning, I was told in the morning was “better” for the patient 
2 conflicting opinions from health professionals, 2nd time.

I was advised to take mine at night, that way the worst side effects come while I am sleeping.  It works for me, I haven't had a lot of side effects :smile:

When to take it

Take TAMOXIFEN SANDOZ at about the same time each day.

It does not matter if you take TAMOXIFEN SANDOZ before, with or after food.

Whilst I was on Tamoxifen and now Letrozole, I settled into a routine of having it around lunch time - it is whatever suits you and the routine allows the body to adjust

Take care and it is not all bad, for some there are few side effects and it is about the heightened awareness of our bodies after what we have been through.  Best wishes and smooth sailing with Tamoxifen
