Tamoxifen side effects?

Hi Elisa, can I please ask why if you've had a hysterectomy are you still having to take Tamoxifen, I was under the assumption that if you have a hysterectomy ie no ovaries then your no longer producing hormones, so why the tamoxifen? . Sorry I'm a little confused, I'm having a hell of a time on Tamoxifen and have decided that a hysterectomy is the best way to go, I no longer need my bits !! So why keep them, the risks of me getting another form of cancer from tamoxifen are so high, so why risk it, I've survived breast cancer and now I have a cloud hanging over my head that not only are these tablets making me sick,but they are increasing my chances of getting some kind of stomach cancer
