Hi Elisa
I am hoping you are having a massage from an oncology massage therapist who knows how to adapt the treatment for an after-cancer body :-)
For more info on the massage look at the international site
www.s4om.org and for local therapists on the BCNA's services section.
I am an oncology massage therapist and accordingly work with people with cancer almost every day - at times it can become quite challenging, but my own experience with BC has enriched my practice and hopefully is benefiting my clients as well.
Massage is wonderful for anyone during and after cancer - provided it is done by someone knowledgeable and trained, as harm can be done othrwise.
Yes, after cancer life changes completely...... sometimes find it difficult to keep up the healthy lifestyle and remain positive BUT these blogs/messages actually inspires me to keep on track!!!!
Hope to meet some of you at the conference!
