Side effects hormone therapy
Well my surgery went well and I have been given the all clear YAY...I don't have to have radiotherapy but my next issue is weather to go onto hormone therapy...my surgeon discussed the side effect etc...

It's really difficult to know, as if you don't need any treatment, I know I have friends in the U.S. and here similar situation and they were not recommended hormone therapy, as they were that early. Latest research out from the National Breast Cancer Foundation says it doesnt work in 1/3 of cases. Its the only logical explanation as to why I had a recurrence at 4yrs, it also means that Radiation didnt work either. My Oncologist said in my case Arimidex is much better and different so hopes it works. All you can really do is what you feel in your gut Nads, its bit like me taking a gamble and having a Mastectomy in case I have a recurrence again, but I may never either, you know?? it just has to be what youre going to be ok with doing. x
