Yes there can be a lot of nerve type pain after lymph node surgery. I still find it feels quite abnormal (14 months later) with numb areas, some nerve twinges and aching at times. Make sure you do your exercises to get full movement back in your arm.
Unfortunately I think you will find that even removing your ovaries, people still need to take the hormone therapy. This is because other parts of your body can still produce estrogen but see what your oncologist says about this when you see them.
