After over 12 months of treatment and still on Herceptin and Tamoxifen I have my scans tomorrow. A mammogram on the untreated breast and ultrasound on the one that had the nipple sparing mastectomy. Feeling anxious just wondering if others have had the same scans and how they went.

Best of luck for tomorrow. I had my first of those scans / follow up tests back in 2013 while still on Herceptin & Tamoxifen. I had a right mastectomy & have since had reconstruction on that breast & a lift / reduction on the other side to even things out. I have to admit that although I'm now almost 4 years on from diagnosis, I still get anxious, to varying degrees, before each test / scan and do my best to distract myself / keep busy. I did have a brief scare last year when there was a dark spot on the ultrasound, but the technician was quick to say he thought it was a cyst, which thankfully it was. Hopefully all will be clear for you too. How much longer do you have on Herceptin? How are you finding it? Jane xx
Hi I had my first mammogram and ultrasound in Febuary this year, it was nervous waiting for the results all good. I'm now heading towards my second one in Febuary next year and I still feel anxious, I din't think that feeling will ever go away. I was told today there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it will get easier. I went and seen my oncologist Friday last week and we have had a chat about Tamoxifen and discussed changing to Arimidex. I have had a blood test and I'm post menapausal and I can change. So today I got the sript and information in the mail and hope the change is better for me. Good luck tomorrowxx
