Pacitaxol and taste loss
hi all i am wondering if anyone experienced a loss of taste/ dry mouth on Taxol, how long after finishing were you able to taste food, I have three weeks left on chemo, and can’t really taste anythin...
Hi there @Spillsy. I had 4 rounds of AC and 4 rounds of taxol. And I had the same problem with my taste being affected. Had cravings for salty/bitter foods like beef chow mein. Chucked heaps of verges in it and Ate heaps of it! Couldn’t stand anything sweet except ice cream which was weird but my taste came back after a couple weeks of finishing. I bet it’s hard living in tassie with all that beautiful food! I’d love to go down there and eat my way around it yum! Big hug. Margie x
