Sorry to hear your news - on the positive side, the treatments you are going to start should offer some relief. Most women find radiation really helps get the pain under control, and the taxane group of chemos often show a good response with liver mets. I believe Abraxane is the "easiest" of these. Some women even keep much of their hair.
I think you are right to be open with your daughter, and wish you all the best in the months to come.... Pam
