Magnesium to help combat 'brain fog' on Tamoxifen/AIs? NZ trial suggests YES

Are you experiencing cognitive issues (even if you haven't had chemo but are on AIs - brain fog?)

A trial in NZ is looking at using magnesium to mitigate those memory and concentration issues particularly for women on Tamoxifen.

They suggest it should help with other AIs too.

  • That’s interesting @arpie I had my annual oncology appointment recently and said that I felt like I had brain fog which she told me a lot of women on AIs complain about. She said I could have a break if I wanted but I’m more than half way through so I’ll keep on for now. I wish I’d come on here before I went to the appointment but never mind.
Last year I saw a registrar and she didn’t believe it as it wasn’t on the information she read on the computer! Told me to see my gp for a memory test.
