OMG, all these oncologists denying women get side effects on Tamoxifen and Aromatase inhibitors and yet the stats show that less than half continue with it. Has your oncologist tried it? I’m so sick of women’s suffering being diminished and even disbelieved by the medical profession.
Obviously many women have benefited from these drugs, even gained longer lives and therefore the merits should speak for themselves. Why discredit / gaslight the many women who try as they might couldn’t continue on them? When I mentioned all the posts I’d read from women who outlined their terrible symptoms my oncologist told me that the only ones going on-line’ are the outliers (read whingers).
All I’m saying is take the advice that MOST women don’t have any side effects with a grain of salt. Should you decide to go on them and find you do have side effects, don’t feel a failure. Speak up and seek alternative doses or types. Stop them, if you feel you must.
If you are lucky and don’t have side effects let us know. All of our shared experiences are worth gold!
