Letrozole for 10 years? Some research results (also relevant for Survivorship)
Hullo all. I'm sorry if this is a bit technical but I find any actual research-based information is worth trying to understand these days, even though a lot of it makes my eyes glaze over but of late ...
I went off Arimidex after 5 years and had a recurrence after 18 months. Local. Again. No mets. Lucky. I am back on Arimidex. And my Oncologist has indicated I will be on it for life. That’s fine. I have to say that apart from my first 6 months on it about 8 years ago, when I had quite bad bone and muscle pain, I haven’t had too many probs. The pain largely resolved after a few months. Exercise helps immensely. Interestingly, I expected some pain going back on it after an 18 month break, but there was no issue.
