Thankyou all, I’ve actually been wearing the splint all afternoon and ended up being quiet sore so have had it off for a while now and will see how I go, must admit it’s not as sore now as earlier, thanks for all your inputs 😃😃

Hi @Glynnis at about 4 months on letrozole I developed trigger thumb and has progressively got worse.  Had x rays on it 2 weeks ago as started clicking at the knuckle and was really quite painful especially in the mornings. Then at the base of thumb it got sore like Kmakm joints and bone .  My thumb now doesn't move at all. Just getting used to doing things differently.  I tried splinting it and it made mine worse.   :/  Hope it improves for you. xo

Yes. I'm on Letrozole and my thumbs hurt all the time, both bone and joint pain. I dropped all sorts of stuff last year before I took a one month break from the AI. The pain eased during the break and has not been quite as bad since I resumed taking the medication. But still there, to a greater or lesser degree. Sometimes I think it's weather dependent, but sometimes not. Bizarre. K xox

Resting it with the splint is a good idea until then @Glynnis.

@Irb_03 Thank You I found a thumb split in my cupboard from years ago so giving it a go for a few days to see what happens will mention it to my oncologist when next I see her, have a feeling it was from pruning my roses last week.

I think @arpie may be able to advise. She’s a bit out of range just now though. 

I think it's probably  one of those "pesky" AI side effects. I had a similar occurence start after about 4-5 months on letrozole. Diagnosed,  ultimately with bilateral De Quervains tenosinuvitis. Changed  to exemestane at 10 month mark, with marginal improvement.  Time and a mix of splinting and strengthening exercises has helped. Have avoided surgery so far, 3 years since the pain started.
