Effexor/Tamoxifen

Hello all,

My Oncologist suggested that I try Effexor for relief of hot flushes of Tamoxifen and to enable me to sleep better.

Wondering if any of you have any experience with this drug?

Googling it - it seems to be a drug for major depression!

    Thanks Daina and Tonya,

    I think it sounds too scary for me to try, I may just put up with night heat problems or try the Endeep!

    I can only really tell you my personal experience of trying Effexor - it will,no doubt,be different for others. I only tried it for a day and I could barely get off my chair - was a drooling,spaced out mess! I didn't try it again. I then tried Endep 10mg and that worked for me.It helped with hot flushes and sleep and had no side effects.It's trial and error sometimes - good luck.
