Chemo. To be or not to be
Age 55. IDC grade 3. ER+. HER2- . Lymph node +. Just had mastectomy so far (a week ago)
Bevvzy . I had grade 2 , stage 11B, ER + PR+ HER-ve , 1 lymph node out of 2 sentinels removed was positive.
No clear margins on two different lumps removed.
Satellite tumours through both specimens and another DCIS in one
This was the pathology after lumpectomy.
My treatment plan after that surgery was.
Chemotherapy because the lymph node was involved. My surgeon said that was a given.
Mastectomy and lymph node clearance after chemo.
Radiation after mastectomy.
Hormone treatment because of ER and PR status.
that is just my surgeons view and is probably also because of the nature of my type of cancer which is multi focal and multi centric.
