Aromatase inhibitors - five years or ten?

I've hit 5 years and my oncologist is in two minds. Research he thinks is valuable shows a higher non recurrence rate after 10 years but doesn't clarify whether it's incremental (ie each extra year yields a benefit) or whether all the benefit kicks in after year 9. He is also concerned about bone density. Mine was extremely good when I started AIs but is now down to about average for my age. So I will monitor it (paying for scans) and stop when I get too close to osteoporosis.
