About to start chemo - taxol and herceptin
Hi, am about to start chemo - with just taxol and herceptin. Has anyone else had this experience?

Anne, I'm in Melbourne and doing it at one of the 3 private hospitals that is offering it.
i was told by my oncologist that I would have it 1 hour before treatment started, treatment would then be another 1 hour and then another hour afterwards, so yes about 3 hours in total.
i also chose the hospital I did as they had more experience with the cap than the others as it's important its on properly.
i think they also give you a sedative to take the edge off.
