Yuck!
So this week I've been on my chemo free week. I'd had visions when I first started this chemo malarkey that the free weeks would see me dancing gayley round the house, catching up on the jobs that have been left and sorting the garden. Well duh that just shows what a dumbass I am! This week has been particularly rough, the eye infection that I've gad on and off since before Christmas decided to come back with a vengeance, so on Monday I went to a gp to get it sorted. Clutching my anti biotics, on the way home I started to feel a pain in my throat by afternoon I had cough, runny nose and sore throat. So today I woke up, a clump of my eyelashes had somehow migrated to the middle of my forehead, my chin was covered In drool and snot and my eye was all crusty pus. How my husband woke up, saw me and remains married to me, is something I have to admit feeling puzzled about! I have been good though, I've been too knackered to do anything other than sit on the couch, I have been doing salt water gargles for the throat and hot compresses for the eye. I made a pot of chicken soup and I've been taking honey and eating ice poles. I nearly freaked however when taking my temperature this morning and it was 38.4, then I remembered I'd not long had a cup iof hot tea, on trying again it was 37.1, so panic over!
