Hi Joy,
I am at the GC hospital too and have found them fabulous. Your treatment is identical to mine. I have just finished 3 rounds of FEC and am will start Doxetaxol on the 22/1. Then 5 weeks of radiaition. I asked to see the psycologist at my last appointment and hear he is very good. All of a sudden I am having a negative association to clothes, songs, smells, even the anti neasea drugs. Anything to do with cancer and it makes me gag. All in my head I know, but just need to learn some tactics to switch that part of the brain off.
The nurses are lovely in the ward where you will have your treatment. They tend to keep you talking and keep your mind off the treatment. It goes quicker than you think. If you want though you can just sit and watch the tv. The volunteers come around with sandwiches and drinks.
I wish you well with your first chemo and hope that you do not endure too many side effects.
