Hey Joy
I am so glad it all went so well for you today. You can rest easy about your hospital and treating team. It is a great idea that you are getting some counselling early in the piece and they will be able to travel with you helping you deal with your feelings along the way.
I couldn't get enough knowledge, I craved it and read everything I could get my hands on. BUT I do not get scared and apprehensive when I read these things. That is me and not everybody. Some people decide they do not want to read anything because it causes too much apprehension.
Everybody deals with BC differently and men totally different to females. You deal with it the way it works for you. You will make it through I am sure. Take any help and support offered if it is what you want to do but if not then leave it alone. You will know what you need. I know my hubby found it hard to deal with his wife having to go through with this horrible disease. We just have to get on with it while they have to sit on the sidelines feeling pretty hopeless most of the time.
Good luck and thanks for the great description of your visit today. Great info for the girls who haven't gone down that path yet.
Have you taken advantage of the Search tab at the top of the page and all the brochures available through BCNA which is all free and available to anyone newly diagnosed with BC.
Lots of love, Mich xoxoxoxo
