Wow things are happening now

Well got a letter in the post today - booked in for Sentinel node biopsy next thursday....

So next week will consist of

  • Tues  appt with Surgeon and Breast care nurse and get date for mastectomy and recon
  • Wed Pre anasthetic appt
  • Thursday - SNB
  • Friday recover..

If they are only doing one side for SNB whats recovery like? I imagine its only minor??

Things are really happening now!!!

    I had my sentinel node biopsy the day before surgery, felt quite alright after it was done. It's good you have a plan, take care,

    I always thought that a sentinel node biopsy was done on the same day as surgery.At least that is how mine was done,and then if they find cancerous cells in the sentinel node,they continue and take more.There are so many different ways of doing things aren't there?Its good news that things are starting to happen now.Cheers xoxRobyn
