yet again I am worrying myself silly - I am on track for 2 years post diagnosis BC free BUT, I keep on fretting about metasteses. I know that my bone aches are a wretched Arimidex side effect, but in the last couple of days I have developed a horrible cough. No sore throat, no head cold, no congestion - just a deep cough. Do I ask about it ? Could it be a lung tumour ? When do these worries go away / Or don't they ? I know someone will have inifinite wisdom here to snap me out of this. Or to tell me what to do. I have no infinite wisdom and I'm a relatively newbie to this site, however, i can understand the fears. I think we will always have it in the back of our minds, what if? If you are concerned with the cough, then it's worthwhile getting it checked out. It might be nothing to worry about and if it is, then the earliest it can be see to, all the better. I agree with Hazel, no sense just worrying about it. Get it checked and put your mind at rest. We are all in the same boat when it comes to this issue of worrying about every little niggle. I have a friend who just passed the 10 year mark and she always says the doctors never mind checking anything out as they like her proactive approach to her health. All the best for 2014. Deanne xxx

Hi Magicmum, I think we all worry, and if you are at all like me,the worry ends up by creating very real sympptoms. I tend to be a worrywort, and my mind can really magnify symptoms which usually go away as soon as I have seen the Dr or had a scan etc. My Sydney GP is great, and will do anything to ease my worry. See your Dr and put your mind at rest. Your cough is probably the start of a cold, that is starting in your chest first. Not all colds start as a sore throat. My last two colds started this way, and when the second one arrived within 6 months of the first, I too thought it could be nasty. Anyway, both became colds within a week, and then both disappeared a few weeks later, leaving a residual cough, which has now gone. Love Chris xx

So glad that everything worked out well. I don't think you ever get over the worry. I had to see the urologist Yesterday and they did a pyelogram where I had an allergic reaction to the injected contrast dye and was sent to emergency. I have to do urine samples and have to have nuclear testing and see the Urologist again in 2 Weeks to rule out Kidney Cancer. I'll be glad when it's all over and then I am having a double masectomy. Life goes on.

All clear mammo/ultras. 2 years down, 3 to go and then I will feel truly FREE. Although do you ? ever ?

Anyway, I am feeling pretty up at the mo so I'm going with that.

Glad to hear that everything went okay. I had my blood taken last week for genetic testing. I have to see the Urologist on the 28th April regarding putting a stint in to unblock my kidneys, then due to have a bilateral masectomy in two Months time. It is all happening. Hope that your 2 year checkup goes well. All the best.

Nothing on the xray - of course - how silly of me to be worrying about nothing. Kind of good to tell myself that every day, "do not distress yourself with dark imaginings".

ALl is going well for the mo. Off for mammo/ultra/bloods for my 2 year check in May !!!

Hello everyone. As I have mentioned before I have a gene mutation braca 2. Well, to top things off my oldest Brother who has bowel cancer has a gene mutation, Lynch Syndrome and I recieved a letter from the genetic Clinic stating that I have to be tested as well. If I test negative, I can still pass it on to my Children. Hopefully, I don't have it and it can't be passed on but I guess it is better to know.
