Worried about Tamoxifin side effects

Welcome to the online network Christine! A place which has certainly helped me get through it all since my diagnosis a year ago. I was put on Tamoxifen immediately after surgery and apart from experiencing hot flushes almost daily, sometimes slight, sometimes not so and weight gain as a result of extreme tiredness I feel as though I am doing just fine. My oncologist has told me recently that I am to undergo blood tests in another 6 months time to see if I can move off Tamoxifen onto something less intrusive. I guess you are stuck between a rock and a hard place where medications are concerned but what works for me is just to believe in the advice of my specialist and oncologist. Wishing you all the best!
