Hi Kathryn. The terminology around BC can be confusing. If you've got your "My Journey" kit, there are explanations about the different types of bc in there, or on this website.
As far as other tests go, at some stage between diagnosis and chemo or radiation, most people have a raft of tests, including bone scan, abdominal and pelvic ultrasound, & possibly chest & abdominal CT. These are all done to rule out further spread of cancer, to assist in planning what treatment will be required.
