wigs on wheels

Hi Jenny and Leonie, I am anxiously waiting to hear how your first chemo session goes, although Jenny I know you are on a different cocktail than I am so guess the effects may be different, do you know what your cocktail is Leonie?

Also got my wig yesterday, amazing how better just having it here makes you feel....like a security blanket!! Now all I need is the prothesis which is only 2-3 weeks away, I was not looking forward to it as I was so sore after the infection couldn't stand even the berlei soft bra on at all and yesterday had it on for 1/2 day and that was enough but getting better every day.

I have another week to stew over my first chemo, would have been this week except for the jolly infection.

Hi Jenny & Leonie

On the days when I didn't feel too good, I told myself they were actually the best days because it was the chemo in there fighting really hard for me. You are about to meet some of the most incredible people tomorrow who will be right there with you all the way. I will leave you with this "a Women is like a tea bag - you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water!   Go girls and you will both be in my thoughts tomorrow.

Someone on side said that it is gold going through our veins with the pacmen eating all the bad guys.  We will get through, many others have gone before us and survived well.  XLeonie

Hair loss is just a temporary causualty - it will grow back.

Hi leonie! A chemo twin..wonderful! I see you are having 4 cycles whilst lucky me gets 6! Have you had surgery yet? I had a lumpectomy but they didn't get it all so after chemo I go back for a mastectomy followed by radiotherapy! Anyway, Weds is our big day, so be positive, keep smiling and stay intouch, Jenny xx
