"Why don't you just have the breast off?"

After reading your blog, I really felt the urge to come to the defence of a mastectomy. Then I remembered that everyone's cancer is very different and that it is your own choice as to what you do. When I had my mastectomy, I was in hospital for less that 48 hours and had very little to no pain or discomfort. Left hospital with no pain killers and didn't need them either. This September, it shall be two years and I am booked in for a skin sparing mastectomy of the other boob and recon of both. I completely understand and applaud your blog. Hope it helps others to understand that no one person is the same as another. I too am triple negative. Xx
