"Why don't you just have the breast off?"

Thanks Mona. Giving some space to 'in praise of breast saving surgery' was exactly what I was hoping to achieve so it's great to read your comments. I certainly hope nobody that's opted for a mastectomy feels the need to be defensive in response to my post. As I said, if it had given me the best medical outcome I would have been there too. I really was hoping to provide some support to other women that have to deal with opinions, questions and assumptions.
