Why do my eyes go blurry?

I am doing reasonable well, apart from an infection post surgery from the drain getting tugged out, but I am suddenly having trouble reading small print. Is this stress, or just me, or something to do with having had an anaesthetic, or what?

  • Hi Jessica I had 3 operations in 3 months and had very blurry eyes especially after the second operation...mind you I also had an infection from my implant ... Plus pseudomanas bacteria infection so for about 6 weeks I was on very strong pain meds and antibiotics ..good news is that my eyes are settling so it will pass!! Elizebeth

  • Gosh that is terrible.I had no idea that it could affect your eyes like that! Mine was only after surgery,so I will count myself very fortunate.Robyn
  • my eyesight degraded through out my chemo and did not come back, I have had to go to multifocal lenses now. Not happy at all when I went for testing it was so bad they said I was not legal for driving, they also told me that it is common for cancer patients.

Like the other ladies , I did wait to see if it would clear, it just didn't.

So I suppose that it just depends on each individual.

    cheers

  • After my mastectomy, for about 2 or 3 weeks,my eyes were the same. Not only when reading small print, but I just had trouble focusing on things clearly. My eyes just felt as though they were annoying me,if that makes sense.I was on the verge of going to my doctor about it,when one day I was googling about it.I found online,so many people that said they had experienced the same thing, after an anaesthetic! I waited a few more days ,but in that time,my daughter went and got me some eye drops for dry eyes, from the chemist.A few days later,it disappeared.!! Maybe just wait a bit,and try some eye drops.Cheers Robyn.xoxo
