Who I Am
I'm a mother of two gorgeous girls.
I have friends all over the world whom I love like family, and family who are my best friends.
I love the written word, ribald jokes, swearing like a trucker and em...
Oh Stressmagnet - what a time you've been through, and what a battle you face. I feel overwhelmed after reading about your experiences. I hope that the BCNA community can be a source of support for you.
I have been keeping a blog for a while now where I've been writing about my experiences with breast cancer, and in doing this I've come across lots of other 'breast cancer blogs'. There is a lot of talk in this corner of the blogosphere about how difficult it can be for women with metastatic breast cancer to feel included in 'pink ribbon culture' (so to speak) - as well as a lot of lobbying for a higher quantity of funding being directed towards research into metastatic breast cancer treatments. I thought you might find some of these writings interesting. My blog is at www.paw-paw-salad.com - the other blogs are linked down the right hand side. Blogs that have included writing about metastatic breast cancer recently include 'Chemo Brain' and 'Nancy's Point', just for starters. 'But Doctor, I Hate Pink' is written by a woman with Stage IV breast cancer. And have you seen the Metavivor site? It's at: http://metavivor.org/ and focuses on research and support for metastatic breast cancer.
Anyway, sorry to through blogs at you - you might have no interest, or know these sites already! Just want to do anything possible to help you feel you're not alone.
Sending you a big cyberhug, for whatever it's worth...
Liz
