It's interesting @Sister. How things like that were kept hush hush. I knew my great grandmother had breast cancer but that was it. I quizzed my mother further when I was diagnosed but she said that nobody talked about womens problems openly then and all she knew was that she had a mastectomy. No idea about chemo or anything else. It took a lot of digging but we eventually found that three of her sisters (she had 6) and two of their daughters had it as well. However, great grandmothers are not considered close enough relatives to put you in the "high risk" category.
