Hi there Eight Days, I have just read your post and can relate to where the mind wanders when you're running. I had a moment at a fun-run a couple of years ago, where I looked around at the runners and thought...'What are we all running from? We must be mad. No one is forcing us to do this'. It makes me think of evolution. In the past, we were running from predators or towards greener pastures. Which then makes me think, what motivates people. So thank you for sharing a glimpse of the moments that make our lives richer - human connection is such a powerful motivator. My favourite time to run is first thing in the morning during winter - when it's dark. I run the same track, and appreciate the silence. It's just me, my lungs grabbing at the cold air and the sound of my footfalls. To be honest with you - I am a bit stunned as to how similar we feel about running, I had to present on something I was passionate about in front of some of the team here - and I talked about how running is a form of mindfulness for me and how it often evokes a sense of curiousity. Loved reading your post, if you're not already please join the Get active and keep well group - I'm sure our community will love reading more about you continuing to run forward :) X Steph
