Such a beautiful post, you just made me cry (but in a good way).
So inspirational.
I do feel a little self indulgent and alone fighting this disease. Ultimately it's for my survival, for myself and my family.
I'm a runner too. Was running after my diagnosis, right up to my first surgery (late April). I ran so hard in those days, tears would stream down my face, running away from the bad news, perhaps?
I'm now out walking the similar running route. I'm not too steady to run just yet. I've had a history of a few falls over the years (uneven surface, dogs etc) so for now it's just a brisk walk. Can't wait to experience that flying feeling again.
All the best with the running forward and reconstruction. You're where I'd like to be in a year or two.
Thank you for your beautiful words,
Karen xx
