Where am I?
I was reminded by a fellow BCNA member that I haven't been on this site for a while so I thought I'd post a short update.
It's nearly three months since my bilateral mastectomy and I'm feeling well. I've almost got full range of movement back and I'm doing yoga every day. I still have some issues with bone pain and peripheral neuropathy but I guess they are now part of my 'new normal'.
I've been spending a lot of time thinking about what's really important to me. I know that having my cancer come back so soon after treatment is not a good thing and my priority now is to live whatever is left of my life spending as much time as possible doing things that are consistent with my values and that make me feel like my life is fulfilled and meaningful.
This has led to a decision to spend much less time on my computer. It's not that I don't value this network, or facebook or blogging, because all of them have been very helpful to me during treatment. It's just that they can all become time vampires! Before I know it, hours have slipped away and the meaningful things I planned to do with my day have been pushed over to tomorrow once again.
So I'm going to be here, and on the internet generally, a lot less often.
My very best wishes to everyone. I'm stillg going to blog occassionally at http://positive3neg.wordpress.com
if you'd like to stay in touch.
Meg
