What's next 12 months on

On the 4th October last year I got my diagnosis.

I have not had a lot of control over things since then and have generally felt unwell.....chronically fatigured really and generally "off".

With the first anniversary, I am still well under 12 months since the end of treatment, but I am using this as a point of reference for my future.

This week-end there is a music festival in our area and I intend to go.

I also am going to see the Russion Ballet in Mackay on Saturday night (about 1 1/2 hours drive each way).  The lady going with me is the only HER2 in our area.

On 17th October I am flying over to the west to see my husband for 5 days.

Then on 24th October, I will be having the surgery to implant my "stretcher" for my reconstruction.

This will be done at the Mater in Mackay and I will drive down and stay overnight and then back home.

I am also looking at whether I can get back to work.........

So......October 2013 will be a month of good things......October 2012 was a whirlpool of no control.

  • Thanks for your good wishes.....Certainly twelve months past diagnosis I feel more in control of my own destiny than I did twelve months ago just after diagnosis.............

  • Hey Foxslady

You sure have a busy schedule ahead of you and lots of lovely things to enjoy in that so that is wonderful.

I hope this month of October is the start of some great things to come in to your life and that you can get some control back and start to feel well again and I really hope that dreaded fatigue starts to leave you.

Having positive things to look forward to is a great thing to help you to move past some of these things you have had to live with following your BC diagnosis but I am hoping they will leave you and you will have only health and happiness till the next October and the next and the next and for the rest of your days.

Lots of love always, Mich xoxoxoxo
