I had 3 bits taken by core biopsy. The anaesthetic did not work and each time I felt agony, had tears streaming down my face and went into shock , shaking all the time, the nurse gave me more anaesthetic but it made no difference.
After the first one and that dreadful noise and pain, I found it frightening to know that there was more to come and it was all I could do not to get up and go.
She said that some people are like this!
They had to go and get my husband to help me walk out. They wanted to get another bit but due to my state decided to stop.
I still look back on this experience with terror. Bad enought that they have just told you that you are likely to have BC without the pain as well.
I would run a mile if asked to have another, but I won't anyhow as I have had double mastectomy.
