What more

Hi to all, I have now finished all my treatments and hair is slowly starting to return, all be it grey but I am sure when it is long enough I will be dying it lol.

After all my treatments I thought life would have to be finally on the improve, but oh no. Just when everything was going well I have lost my job.. was there 8 years and now I have to try and start again, as if this year has not been bad enough.

I know from experience that there are worse things in life than looking for a job but i didn't really want to be doing it now, what with my butch hair style, 20 kilos extra weight and all but i guess it is meant to be this way.

Anyway enough about me, hope all the ladies out there are doing as good as possible, keep your heads held high and never give up. All the best to everyone.

Cheers

Sandyxxx

  • Thank you all for your kind words, I am over the moon that treatment is over and I am going to move onwards and upwards from now. New hair, new job and a new last name is what 2012 will bring. Yes Tonya I am just going to write 2011 of and move on.

Would like to some how use this year and all i have been through to help others maybe I should look to that for now and see what tomorrow brings.

    Take care all

  • Glad ur treatments are over but sorry about your job. That's pretty lousy of your boss to put you off after cancer/chemo and just before Christmas.Well that sounds like the sort of boss I wouldn't want to work for.Could you take a few months off for yourself and have some time out? From my experience, sometimes jobs just land in your lap when you least expect it.8 years in the 1 job shows you are a good worker-don't underestimate your worth.Good employees are hard to find.Just "write off"2011 as a bad year(sounds like it!) and next year will be your time to shine.

  • Hi Sandy,

I'm glad u have finished ur treatments and can be on the cruise phase of recovery now. Although the loss of your job has obviously created some stress it may be a chance for a new beginning. Often we change our priorities and many of us change careers (some quite dramatically) post BC, so it could be a blessing in disguise. I have always believed that everything happens for a reason (even the bad stuff) and we are only dealt what we can deal with in life..so i urge u to embrace this situation , go ahead proud and strong & that now u have come thru BC, u can do anything!!

Good luck with the job hunting-keep a great, positive attitude & i'm sure a door will open very soon

    Sam  :)
