What kind of practical support is needed after lumpectomy?

You can do it on your own but it's really nice to have someone there to hold your hand while you're waiting to go into surgery.   I had my wonderful husband, one of my daughters took the day off uni, and my son flew up from Adelaide - very lucky.  I could do everything for myself - felt a bit fragile coming home from hospital.  Is there someone who can hold your hand or perhaps you can tell your hubby you need him at this time.  We will all be thinking of you on the 12 - good luck and big hugs.  RosG
