What do u think ???

After my Chemo oncologist puts me on the right path to take yesterday and he picks me up off the floor and explained it  x 2 times that there was only 1% difference in my results in taking hormone and chemo together vs hormone on its own. results no chemo not gonna put u through all that for that 1%.  Also i mentioned our  trip to the USA in Sept  for a month he said have ya hoilday enjoy ya holiday start ya treatment when u get back ive no problem with u starting ya hormone then. But it is up to your radio oncologist but im sure she will agree. If so i wont be starting treatments until Oct/Nov. then the Hormone. I always thought time was the essence !!!! can this be right im i getting in front of my self.  Has anyone have this happen to them or know of this  ...???

What do u think ?????  Jane Mwa xx

  • Hi.  Im off to the USA radiotherapy agreed with chemo oncologist that it was safe to go im within the time limit,  but i dont know the limit time, if she said a time limit i wasnt  listening.  i think i was packing lol.  It will be 11 wks from surgery until i start treatment.  only one more appt Physio tomorrow then thats it till i get back. Im Gonna try and forget this rocky path i found my self on  for 4 wks and enjoy this holiday with my husband who is the most patient person i will ever know.   Now off to have a drink to celabrate so cheers Jane x

  • I could be wrong but I thought radiotherapy had to happen within 9 weeks of surgery unless you were having chemotherapy. Why not ring the cancer council on 13 11 20  cos treatments etc change all the time.
