Well, What now??
Hi Ladies. I havnt been online for a while my pc been on the blink ( bit like me really ). I saw my oncologist last Friday to tell him of my final decision regarding chemo. I didnt expect to find it that hard. I couldnt bring myself to say the words I had decided on. I had decided to go with the hormone only treatment but when it came time to tell him/her, everytiime its a different doctor, I couldnt say it. I wanted to say , Dont cut me loose I want the hormone therapy but I dont want to be cast adrift again!! In the end I asked what she would do and of course she couldnt tell me what to do. I told her the hormones alone but it didnt feel good. I didnt feel like it was over. It will never be over. I just felt deserted. Left to monitor this thing alone. I felt like,ok Ive had BC and all it cost me was 3 weeks off work, a body part that I ( and my partner ) had grown quite fond of, my sanity ( i feel like my emotions are on a roller coaster but the ups are not good ups but just the part of me that finds things catastrofic that normally were ok ) and my peace of mind. I would say the same can be said for how my partner feels about this too. He has riden this crazy ride all the way with me and sat there while I cried for no reason and every reason. Kept quiet when I was moody, again for no reason and every reason, supported me and loved me even tho I kept reminding him I was now mangled. My children have been amazing, I love them to death ( bad choice of words here!!!). I appreciate everthing now even the opportunity to feel like sh++t, but it still feels like sh++t. I am crying as I write this I cant believe I am here and what has happened. I work to keep things normal but normal has forever changed its meaning for me now. I have been thinking of all you ladies on here and wishing you good things. Everyone going thru the hell that is chemo, radiation or a new diagnosis and my heart goes out to you all, and it goes out to me. None of us deserved or asked for this but it has brought me here to this site and this frame of mind where I am more grateful for less and hopefully when my emotions settle that will be enough.
