Hello SuziBee,i have just read your post and understand as i was given the lovely news on the 23/12/2008.I was not operated on until 6/1/2009 so i spent my christmas in a bit of a daze.Yes it was alittle scary but it also gave me time to collect my thoughts.You are never alone though it may seem that way at times.Though it is ourselfs that are experience this scary ordeal it is those around us that do not know what to do.You may find that your husband is a little frighten so his actions and words are not always going to be what you need or want to hear.There is a lot of support for yourself and also for your husband through the cancer council.Some times our partners and family just need to be reminded that this is the time we need them the most to help us to make these very hard decisions.There is also a Cancer Council Helpline that you can call.As hard as it is at the moment try and stay positive and ask as many questions as you feel you need to ask .I do hope that you do get operated on tomorrow (23/12/2010) and i wish you a speedy recovery.My thoughts are with SusiBee.We are a strong breed us female.I will leave you with a little quote that was amongst My Journey Kit "Yesterday's history, Tomorrow 's a mystery all we have is Today,It's called the Present because it's a Precious Gift".x
